• Minimize the Playlist Creator

  Need more room to browse your DISCO workspace? You can now hide the Playlist Creator with one click on the arrow button tab to the left anytime for a cleaner, more focused workflow.

• Enhanced AI Tools

  We've supercharged two of our most popular AI features! Lyric Transcriptions have been significantly improved and you can expect more accurate transcriptions, at higher confidence, with better formatting. Plus, Instant Instrumentals now deliver even better instrumental generation across all file types.

  
  

  Now is a good time to go back to previous instrumentals and transcriptions that you felt may not have been up to scratch and try again.

• A Simpler Way to Share Channels in DISCO

  Now in BETA: Shared Channels. A faster, easier way to share Channels with other DISCO users. With Shared Channels, you can invite other DISCOs directly—no more links or update reminders. Once accepted, your Channel appears in their DISCO, making collaboration seamless and real-time.

• Account management just got easier

  Published: 6/18/2025 Update

  We've updated the Account Settings location for a more intuitive experience. You'll now find it on the top left of the sidebar, directly under your DISCO business name. All the information you need is still there, just in a more convenient spot. Plus, managing multiple DISCO accounts is now a breeze. You can switch between your different accounts directly within the platform, eliminating the need to log in and out or use multiple browser windows. All your accounts are now accessible in one central location.

• More version types for nested tracks

  We’ve added "Edit" and "Worktape" as additional options to choose from when setting the version field on a nested track.

• Lyric Transcription

  Transcribe your song lyrics in one click — no more manual work, no more switching tools. Make your catalog more discoverable today.

  Click Transcribe Lyrics inside the Lyrics tab of a track’s metadata and start transcribing. It’s that simple!

• Inline channel search

  Search directly in all channels with our inline search.

  Find the new search field at the top of all of your channels. The search looks through track metadata, titles, artists and folder and subfolder names.

• Update tracks via the DISCO API

  You can now update tracks in DISCO via the external API. Update files, metadata, custom fields, artwork, lyrics, and tags.

• Opportunities tab for artists

  We’re excited to announce our new artists Opportunities tab on DISCO. Exclusively available on our Artist plan, the Opportunities tab offers select opportunities for our artist users to grow their music careers.

  As we add opportunities across marketplace discovery, third party offers and competitions, we’re aiming to create meaningful connections between artists, rights holders, and supervisors. Our goal is to support the broader music ecosystem, with artists at the center.

• Primary catalogs

  Managing and promoting DISCO Catalogs just got easier with Primary Catalogs. Primary Catalogs automatically links your DISCO’s main Catalog with DISCO content you share. Your Primary Catalog will be easily accessible from playlists and other areas where your business name appears—making it simpler than ever for your receivers to access more of your music.

  We’ve automatically assigned a Primary Catalog for every business, but you can review and select it manually at any time within Catalog settings.

• Save to DISCO widget

  We’re excited to announce the Save to DISCO widget, an API-powered integration that allows third party platforms to support users saving content back to DISCO.

• DISCO for iOS - Save audio files from anywhere

  You can now save audio files directly to the DISCO iOS app from text messages, emails, and any other app using the native Apple share menu, making it easier than ever to store and organize music on the go.

• SSO login for catalogs

  Users can now sign into public and private Catalogs using SSO.

• MultiDISCO search

  Published: 3/16/2025 Update

  Supervisors can now search an amazing collection of music from rights holders around the world from their search bar with MultiDISCO search.

  MultiDISCO Search supports text search and Similarity Search, and allows supervisors to easily listen and save tracks to their own DISCOs.

  Discovery Suite customers can opt in to making their catalogs discoverable by selecting “Easy Access” within Catalog settings.

• Nesting

  Published: 3/16/2025 Update

  You can now nest tracks in DISCO, adding different versions, edits, stems or demos for your tracks. For more information on getting started with nesting, check out the help article.

• API updates for playlists and pages

  Published: 3/16/2025 Update

  The DISCO API now returns both the short URL and embed URL when retrieving playlists, making it easier to share and integrate links into your systems. Additionally, you can now create DISCO Pages via API, streamlining the process of building and managing pages programmatically.

• Instrument and BPM tagging improvements

  Published: 3/16/2025 Update

  We've updated our AI-driven instrument tagging and BPM detection to be much more accurate, and have added five new instruments: clarinet, flute, keyboard, saxophone and trumpet.

  For users on the Artist plan, any supervisor plan and those with Discovery Suite, the tags will start to appear from today and we expect old songs to be fully updated with new instrument tags in the next few weeks.

  As part of our updates to our instrument tagging, we've deprecated the brass, handclaps, organ and ukulele tags. Any tracks which were auto-tagged with these tags will retain them as custom tags, but they'll no longer be added via our auto-tagging.

• Email scheduling

  DISCO’s Email Creator now allows you to schedule email blasts, giving you the flexibility to send messages at the optimal time for your audience. This feature helps increase the chances of your emails landing at the top of your contact’s inbox, improving engagement and maximizing the impact of your campaigns.

• DISCO API - Add tracks to channels

  The DISCO API now supports adding tracks to channels. For more information, see the track page in the API documentation.

• Bulk uploads and folder uploads

  Published: 3/16/2025 Update

  DISCO now supports uploads of up to 200 tracks at a time — a significant time-saver for large uploads. Additionally, you can now upload entire folders, including sub-folders, through the upload modal, making it even easier to manage your content.

  For uploads of 100+ tracks, you’ll be prompted to use the Bulk Uploader, and uploads are limited to 200 tracks at a time to ensure a smooth and reliable experience.

• Upload from Box

  In addition to DISCO's upload from Dropbox option, you can now upload from Box in-app.

• Search and filter channels in sidebar

  Searching through your channels and folders just got much easier! With our new sidebar search you can quickly search for channels, folders and subfolders.

• Channel management improvements

  We've simplified managing team access and copying share links for channels. Now both options are available under the "Share" option in the channel menu.

  If you're a channel manager, you'll see access options directly within "Share." Non-managers will only see the share link option.

• Single track stats

  You can now view stats for individual tracks you’ve shared. Click on the track menu in the explorer to access track stats.

• New version types for nested tracks

• Create Pages via API

  DISCO's external API now supports creation of Pages. In addition, we now also return both share and embed URLs with the payload of DISCO playlists. Refer to our API Docs for more detail.

• Instant Instrumentals

  Published: 5/7/2024 Feature

  Landing a sync often requires an instrumental version, but what if one doesn’t exist? With our new Instant Instrumental feature, you can now create an instrumental version of any track at the click of a button. Powered by AI, this tool removes vocals while preserving the quality of the original recording, making it instantly available in DISCO like any other track. Instrumentals are automatically nested under their original track, keeping everything organized.

  This feature is available to Discovery Suite subscribers. The instrumental is auto-tagged and included in Similarity Search, making it even easier to surface the right track for the right opportunity.

• Upload to position in Playlist Creator

  With our latest update to the Playlist Creator, you can now drag new tracks from your desktop directly into the desired position in your playlist.

• Similarity Search
